This article examines the history, geographical location, and toponymy of Oltinsoy District in Surkhandarya Region, as well as presents a list and map of the archaeological sites located in the area. Oltinsoy District is situated in the central part of Surkhandarya Region and borders Denov, Sho‘rchi, Qumqo‘rg‘on, and Boysun districts. In antiquity, this territory was part of Bactria, while in the medieval period it belonged to the historical and cultural region of Tokharistan. At present, 44 archaeological sites have been identified in Oltinsoy District. The article provides a descriptive analysis of these sites, classified according to periods: the Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age, the Kushan period, the Early Middle Ages, the Developed Middle Ages, and the Late Middle Ages.
