This article examines the history of the formation and development of industry in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The initial stages of industry, industrialization processes during the Soviet period, modernization after independence, and the current state of the industry are analyzed. In addition, the influence of industry on the economic development of the region and the growth dynamics of key sectors were studied. The study also addresses environmental problems, innovative directions of industry, and prospects for its further development.
