THE ROLE OF SOCIAL CONTROL IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIETY

Abstract

The article examines the place, role, and significance of social control in the life of society. Using the methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, and critical evaluation, the study highlights how the proper and exemplary assimilation of new values entering social relations under the conditions of a market economy is monitored by members of society. The research is approached from a comprehensive methodological perspective. The paper seeks to reveal the relevance of the topic of social control in societal development, the concept of social control, its elements and agents, as well as the issue of self-control from a contemporary viewpoint. Opinions are presented regarding the mechanisms and methods of implementing social control and their effectiveness. The role of the mahalla institution as an agent of social control is also addressed. Based on the research findings, relevant conclusions and recommendations are provided.
