This article comprehensively discusses stylistic problems arising in the translation of tax and customs terminological units from English into Uzbek. The article focuses on the specific features of official and legal style, terminological precision and preservation of normative meaning. Special attention is given to stylistic inconsistencies caused by differences between national tax and customs legal systems. The semantic and functional characteristics of tax and customs vocabulary in both languages are analyzed comparatively. Methods of ensuring equivalence, adequacy and stylistic conformity in translation are theoretically substantiated. The findings contribute to improving professional and domain-specific translation practice.
