LEGAL CONDITIONS FOR ESTABLISHING AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT SYSTEM IN THE ENERGY SECTOR

This article analyzes the legal basis for implementing the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) system in energy projects, its compliance with national and international requirements, and its practical significance. The study examines Uzbekistan's environmental policy, the regulatory framework for EIA, and the role of technical regulations and environmental standards. Additionally, it considers environmental risks associated with energy facilities, including renewable energy and large infrastructure projects, as well as mechanisms for their assessment. The article highlights the EIA system's alignment with UN, EBRD, European Union, and Paris Agreement standards, and puts forward legal proposals for its effective implementation. The research results provide scientific and practical conclusions aimed at improving environmental management and enhancing environmental safety in the energy sector.
