Abstract

The article highlights the pedagogical essence of heuristic learning, scientifically and theoretically substantiating the mechanisms for developing learners’ independent thinking, critical analysis, and creative problem-solving skills. The study analyzes the historical roots of the philosophy of heuristic education, its alignment with modern pedagogical approaches, and the possibilities of its application in higher education. A five-stage methodological model aimed at fostering independent thinking is proposed.
