Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical effectiveness of using online GIS (geographical information systems) in geography teaching. The study involved an experimental study with 120 students and assessed the educational potential of platforms such as ArcGIS Online, Google Earth, and QGIS. The results showed that using online GIS increased students' spatial thinking by 42% and their practical skills by 38%. The article presents a methodology for integrating online GIS into the educational process, criteria for software selection, and strategies for integration into the educational process.
