This article analyzes the administrative-legal nature of highways as public property from a scientific, theoretical and practical perspective. The place of highways in the system of public property, the content of administrative-legal relations related to their management, use and protection are revealed. The legal regime of highways as public property, the powers of authorized state bodies and their role in ensuring public interests are also highlighted. The article analyzes the current legislative norms and puts forward proposals and conclusions on improving administrative-legal mechanisms in the field of effective use and maintenance of highways.
